The top 2 inches of the front endpaper are detached. There is a short tear to & a small piece out of the front edge of 1 leaf of the preliminaries where it has been roughly opened. A very attractive copy, despite its flaws. Good.

Laid in is an autograph letter signed "Love, Candida", sending Matthiessen the book and referring to "Brockie's beautiful, attentive drawings". Donadio's clients included such authors as Thomas Pynchon, William Gaddis, Robert Stone, Michael Herr and Mario Puzo. Dust jacket present. First Edition.
