The contents are laid into a cream stiff-paper case titled in gray on the front panel. The case is very lightly bumped with the edges of the panels slightly darkened. 2 sheets of stiff cream- colored paper printed in gray. On the verso of the first sheet is a drawing of a model in a full-length gown reproduced in gray with Furstenberg's printed signature. The second sheet is printed on one side only. Near fine.

Inscribed in Italian by Egon Furstenberg on the slipcase and signed "Egon".

The first sheet lists all the designers and staff involved in preparing the collection and show. The second sheet presents a commentary on the collection. The text is in Italian.

The hinges are cracked and the binding separating from the text block. Good.

An early merchant has penciled in a list of merchandise on the last 4 pages of ruled paper and worked out a sum on the rear endpaper.

There is a tiny dent to both the outer & inner rear wrap with a lighter dent to the top margin of each page. The contents are very good.

A promotional brochure explaining Paralledge's marking device which can solve distortions in fabric which arise in the manufacturing of garments and which can lead to these garments being rejected as "crooked" or "twisted".

From the library of Cora Ginsberg with her signature on the front endpaper and the front panel of the dust wrapper and her address label on the rear pastedown. Cora Ginsberg was an art dealer and consultant in antique textiles. She worked with her husband Benjamin Ginsberg at his family's antique firm Ginsberg & Levy, and later at his new firm Benjamin Ginsburg Antiquary. After his retirement, she opened her own gallery called Cora Ginsberg, Inc.

This book is a title in the series "Costume of the Western World". Blum's text is translated from the French by D. I. Wilton. Dust jacket present.

The cover sheet is bumped with light creasing to its top edge & to the bottom corner of the front panel. Unpaginated. The unbound contents are printed on folding sheets of glossy paper. Profuse illustrations in color and black & white, including photographs by Karl Lagerfeld & Takashi Homma. There is a light crease to the bottom corners of the first 3 pages. Very good.

Mobile Art was a joint project of Chanel and Zaha Hadid Architects. Hadid was asked by Karl Lagerfeld to design a mobile art pavilion inspired by one of Chanel's signature creations, the quilted bag. The pavilion or mobile art container was to house an admission-free exhibition which would tour throughout Asia, the United States and Europe and involved twenty-one international artists.

This publication marked the opening of the Chanel Art Container in Tokyo in May 2008. [The next stop on the tour was to be New York in fall, 2008]. Included are text and illustrations recording the first stop on the tour, which was in Hong Kong in February 2008; interviews with Zaha Hadid and Karl Lagerfeld; statements by the artists; essays by others involved in the project; and a preview of Chanel fashions for fall/winter 2008-9 featuring photos of Claudia Schiffer. The text is in English.
