This facsimile of the 1786 catalog of Moses Mendelssohn's library is stated in the colophon to be the fifth publication of the press of the "Freunde des judischen Buches", who began publishing in the 1920s but whose work came to a halt after Hitler came to power in 1932. The colophon reads in part: "Prof. Dr. Heinrich Loewe-Druck durch eine Spende von Mitgliedern des Vorstandes in 800 Abzugen hergestellt. Den Druck besorgte F. A. Brockhaus, Leipzig." The text is in German.
