Chicago, IL: Argus Books, 1929.. 1929.. Good. - Large octavo, dark blue cloth titled in gilt with a vignette in gilt on the front cover of each volume. The top edges are gilt. The volumes are housed in a black paper covered slipcase. The bindings are lightly rubbed with the spines darkened. The slipcase is rubbed & chipped. Half-title, title,  leaf & 288 pages; and half-title, title,  leaf & 300 pages. Illustrated by John Austen with 2 color pictorial titles, 5 color plates with tissue guards & 10 black-and-white plates. There is an owner's ink inscription on the front endpaper of each volume. There are several small stains to the fore-edge of Vol. 2 with tiny stains to the top corners or front edges of a few pages. Very good in a fair slipcase.
