Very good. - Small oblong octavo [5-1/4 inches high by 7-1/2 inches wide], softcover bound in printed gray wraps & titled in white on the front cover. Some of the print is rubbed away but the title is still legible. The spine & extremities are darkened & there are tears to the head & tail of the spine. There are a few small light stains to the front wrap. 36 rich sepia- toned photographic plates depicting German towns, villages, castles and country landscapes. The contents are near fine.
Following the Armistice Agreement which brought an end to the First World War, Allied and Associated Armies occupied the German Rhineland in 1918. In July of 1919, American forces took over the duties of the occupation.
