Good An Apparently Unrecorded Printing of Alan Seeger's "Ode in Memory of the American Volunteers Fallen for France - 8vo, printed stapled self-wraps (soiled & slightly darkened; folded in half horizontally and rubbed along fold). Contemporary notes describing the ceremony are penciled on the front & rear wraps, with a few blue crayon marks on front wrap. 8pp. Good. "Composed for Decoration Day in 1916 this Ode was to have been read before the statue of Lafayette and Washington in Paris. By appropriate Resolution of the American Legion this Ode is to be read at all ceremonies conducted by members in France on Memorial Day 1920." First separate printing [??]. Rare. Not in BAL.
