1 Breccia, Evaristo. (1876-1967). Important Italian archeologist, director of the Greco-Roman museum in Alexandria 1906-1932. AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED by the Italian archaeologist Breccia addressed to Joseph Offord who wrote on archaeology.
Alexandria: 12th oct. 1911. 12th oct. 1911. Good 
- Octavo. Approximately 162 words penned in Italian in black ink on 3 sides of the letterhead of the Greco-Roman Museum of Alexandria, an 8-3/8 inches high by 10-1/2 inches wide sheet of cream stock folded to form 4 sides with the Museum's name printed in French and Arabic on the 1st side at top left. Signed "E. Breccia". There is some light creasing, staining & foxing to the letterhead. The corners are creased & the right margin of the 3rd side is lightly chipped. There is a light paper-clip mark to the top edge of the 4th side. Folded twice for mailing. Good.

Breccia writes to Joseph Offord, who wrote on archaeology at Alexandria in 1912, regarding several articles on subjects of interest to the Greco-Roman Museum and about a catalog he is preparing of the collection. He also mentions an article on the museum which is to be published in the Illustrated London News.
