Very good - Over 45 words penned on a 7-1/4 inch high by 4-1/2 inch wide sheet. Written to John Martin, William Allan regrets that he must decline the invitation to the anniversary dinner of the Artists' Benevolent Fund as he will be returning to Edinburgh before the 9th.
