Good - Octavo. A sheet, 19 inches high by 12 inches wide, is folded twice to form 7 pages plus a rear blank. The edges of the pages are chipped & darkened & there are a couple of tiny tears at the folds. Good. Pro-slavery Democrat John B. Weller here speaks in support of the Nebraska and Kansas Bill. Weller [1812-1875] was a lawyer and prosecuting attorney in Butler County, Ohio, and served as an Ohio Democratic congressman from 1839 to 1845. He was a member of the commission to establish the boundary line between California and Mexico and then moved to California, serving as Democratic senator from the state from 1852 to 1857. He was the fifth governor of California from 1858-1860. Scarce. Price:
