- Small quarto [11 inches high by 8-3/4 inches wide], red cloth backed with dark blue cloth titled in gilt with decorations in black on the front cover & spine. The binding is rubbed, bumped & somewhat soiled & the titling on the spine is faded. 464 pages, including profuse illustrations after photographs, most of them full-page. The front pastedown & endpaper are lightly soiled & stained with faded inscriptions by an owner. A small area of the surface of the title page is rubbed away. There are small stains to the flyleaf, fore-edge & the front edges of several pages. A good, tight copy. First edition. There is an interesting note: "Worlds Fair 1893" on the front endpaper.

- 8vo, yellow cloth (bumped & heavily soiled; spine rubbed & faded) titled in gilt. xxxiii, 313 & [4] pp. (scattered soiling). Good. First edition. Tipped in printed presentation leaf dedicating this copy to D. O. Mills of New York City with a Mills Hotel Library stamp on the front pastedown and a small label on the spine. In the course of seeking to raise $250,000 for the rescue of the New England Conference's Superannuates, Boyd was inspired to write this book, which calls on millionaires to be faithful to the spiritual paternity which has provided them with the opportunities to become rich, and expounds on the need for pioneering preachers to save the nation from the corruptions of city life.

- Octavo, green cloth titled in gilt on the front cover & spine. The covers are rubbed & lightly bumped with a few small stains & the spine is faded. [vi] & 490 pages. There is foxing & light staining to the pastedowns & endpapers. Good. First edition. There is a large prize bookplate on the front pastedown. It is for the George T. Davis prize for proficiency in American History at the New Rochelle High School. It bears the photographic portrait of Davis.
