- Small quarto [11 inches high by 8-3/4 inches wide], red cloth backed with dark blue cloth titled in gilt with decorations in black on the front cover & spine. The binding is rubbed, bumped & somewhat soiled & the titling on the spine is faded. 464 pages, including profuse illustrations after photographs, most of them full-page. The front pastedown & endpaper are lightly soiled & stained with faded inscriptions by an owner. A small area of the surface of the title page is rubbed away. There are small stains to the flyleaf, fore-edge & the front edges of several pages. A good, tight copy. First edition. There is an interesting note: "Worlds Fair 1893" on the front endpaper.
