Very good. Second printing. An anthology of writings from Homer and Catullus to James Joyce, T. S. Eliot and Andre Gide. The selections are printed in the author's original language with translations and critical comments by distinguished writers and critics. Of this anthology H. L. Mencken wrote: "This anthology is the most original ever printed, and in many ways the most useful." And, according to Allen Tate, "It is the first radically new idea for an anthology in the last 100 years."
