	1	(Caldecott, Randolph). A FROG HE WOULD A-WOOING GO. R. Caldecott's Picture Books. [Cover title]. (London & New York): Frederick Warne & Co., circa [1900]. [1900]. Good - Oblong quarto, 8-1/16 inches high by 9-5/16 inches wide. Original color pictorial cream boards with a full-page color illustration on the front cover and a decorative ad for the series of Randolph Caldecott's Picture Books printed in 2 colors on the rear cover. A one inch piece is chipped off from the tail of the spine and there are two small chips to the front edge of the covers as well as a nine inch slit to the paper at top of front joint. [24] pages printed in brown with profuse textual illustrations in brown & white throughout and 6 full-page color illustrations. Overall, a good copy. A rather witty but wickedly tragic tale of Frog's attempt to court Miss Mousey with the assistance of Mr. Rat. All ends tragically when Mr. Rat and Miss Mousey are eaten by a cat & her kittens, as Froggy escapes only to be eaten by a lilly-white duck. Price: 20.00 USD

[1890]. Good - Square octavo, color pictorial paper covered boards. The boards are somewhat darkened & lightly soiled with the paper chipped along the front edge of the front board; the spine is darkened, rubbed & lightly chipped with small pieces out of the head & tail. 72 pages. There is offsetting to the endpapers & the page edges are darkened. Textual illustrations in brown and white by Randolph Caldecott. Especially good copy of a fragile book. Engraved and printed by Edmund Evans. Price: 10.00 USD

Very good - Small quarto [10 inches high by 7-3/8 inches wide], tan cloth in a dust wrapper. The binding is lightly bumped with a small, light stain to the front cover & a narrow band of black staining along the front edge of the rear cover. The dust wrapper is rubbed & chipped with several tears & small pieces out & with soiling to the rear panel. There is a larger piece out of the head of the jacket spine. 46 & [1] pages. Black-and-white illustrations. The top margins of the pages are slightly rippled. Very good in a good dust wrapper. The story of illustrator Randolph Caldecott told for children. Price: 10.00 USD
