- Octavo, green pictorial cloth titled in gilt with vignette in black on spine & in gilt with illustration of a knight on horseback stamped in white & black on front cover; t.e.g. The binding is lightly rubbed & soiled with a few small stains; the covers are bumped. xvii, [ii] & 234 pp. There is an owner's ink inscription on a card mounted on the front pastedown & an owner's stamp on the front endpaper; the rear endpapers are slightly soiled with a small bookseller's label on the pastedown & there is occasional light foxing. Illustrated with a color frontispiece & 15 color plates by Gertrude Demain Hammond. Very good.
