- Octavo, black cloth titled in magenta on the spine & in black within a music note stamped in magenta on the front cover. The covers are very lightly bumped & the head & tail of the spine are rubbed. The dust jacket is darkened & chipped with staining to the rear panel. There is a piece out of the head of the dust jacket spine & the adjacent corners of the panels with a small piece out of the tail. 223 pages. The bottom edges of several leaves are roughed with small tears & pieces out. Good.

First edition.

Inscribed by the author to novelist Edmund Gilligan on the half-title: "August 17 / Gilligan -- / It took the old Pro himself to help me through this one, and I'm not forgetting it. Make 'er read from left to right & front to rear! / Thanks, Edmund! / George Willis".

- Quarto [12-3/8 inches high by 8-7/8 inches wide], softcover bound in pictorial wrappers with a cover illustration by Ed Ruscha. The wraps are lightly bumped with a tiny tear to the tail of the spine. 92 & [4] pages. Profuse illustrations & pictorial ads in color and black & white. The corners of the first few leaves are lightly bumped. Very good.

Among the contents of this first issue are an article on cinematographer Gordon Willis by Ben Yagoda, an illustrated contribution from photographer Arthur Elgort and "Baptism, Bloomie's and the Bois du Boulogne" by George Lange.
