- Small quarto [10-3/4 inches high by 7-5/8 inches wide], soft covers bound in printed blue wraps. The spine & the edges of the front wrap are slightly faded. 120 pages. Near fine. Inscribed by the composer on the title page: "To....Now I know who bought my scores and records -- Thanks -- Morton Gould". "Fall River Legend" [based on the Lizzie Borden murder case] was commissioned by Ballet Theatre with choreography by Agnes de Mille, music by Morton Gould and sets by Oliver Smith, and received its world premiere performance at the Metropolitan Opera House, New York, on April 22, 1948.
