- Octavo, navy blue cloth titled in gilt on spine with vignette stamped in gilt on front cover. The binding is lightly rubbed; the covers are bumped with a very light stain to the rear cover; the spine & gilt titling are somewhat faded. xiii & 221 pp. B&W frontispiece, full-page B&W illustrations & textual B&W illustrations & diagrams. There are tears to or small pieces out of the edges of a few pages where they have been roughly opened, 2 bottom page corners are creased & there is scattered foxing. Good. Second printing.
