Good - Small quarto [6-1/4 inches high by 4-3/4 inches wide], softcover bound in pictorial red wraps titled in gilt & black with an image of a dragon in gilt on the front wrap. The wraps are rubbed, bumped & darkened with 2 indentations in the rear wrap. [27] pages plus 5-page publisher's catalog. Illustrated in orange & black. The bottom page corners are chipped & there is some pink staining to the bottom edges of the title & the last catalog page. There are a few pencil markings in the margins of the text. There are 2 light indentations in each leaf in the rear half of the book. Good. Harr explains in his introduction to the book that he uses the name "Pung Chow," which derives from the days when the game was reserved for the wealthy and aristocratic. When "coolies" began to play the game, they renamed it "Mah Jong". Rare. Price:
