[Montclair, NJ]: (Unity Institute, 1930). 1930). Good - Octavo. A sheet of cream stock, 9-1/2 inches high by 12-3/8 inches wide is folded once to form 4 pages. The program has been misfolded. There is light creasing to the pages, including a horizontal crease where the program has been folded & a light vertical crease to each page. The top edges of the pages are slightly darkened & there is light soiling along the creases on the 2nd page. Good. This concert is part of the tenth season [1929-1930] of the Unity Concert Course organized by the Unity Institute and took place only two years after Horowitz made his American debut. The season's concerts are listed on the fourth page. Afull-page advertisement for Steinway pianos appears on the second page. Horowitz's recital includes pieces by Bach, Chopin, Poulenc, Medtner and Liszt. Price:

Includes an article entitled "Boston, NBC Symphony Orchestras To Open Fall Series of Broadcasts", a brief 1-page biography "Vladimir Horowitz, Pianist", an article on the Eastman-Rochester Symphony Orchestra's performance of Howard Hanson's "Symphony No. 1 in E Minor, Op. 21 (Nordic)" conducted by Howard Hanson, and a 3-page essay "Rachmaninoff plays his Concerto No. 4 in G Minor, Op. 40".
