- Octavo, dark blue cloth titled in gilt on spine. The covers are bumped & lightly rubbed with a small piece out of the cloth of the rear cover bottom edge. The spine is faded with small tears to the mid-section; the head & tail are chipped with small pieces out. iv, [ii] & 431 pp. There are 2 ink dates & an owner's ink name on the front endpaper. There is occasional light soiling & the page edges are slightly darkened. Illustrated with B&W maps. Good. First edition. Scarce. Rockwell Kent's bookplate for Richard Kirk Snively, dated 1925, is mounted on the front pastedown.
