- Octavo, original wrappers bound in brown marbled boards backed with tan calf & titled in gilt between gilt-ruled raised bands on the spine. The endpapers are marbled. The binding is very slightly rubbed with a tiny chip on the spine. Half-title, title, xii & 356 pages. Profusely illustrated with 350 engravings, including plates, full-page & textual illustrations and head- & tail-pieces in dark green & white. The pages are darkened. Good in a near fine binding.
