(Lardner, Ring; Marquis, Don; Ogden, Nash; et al). DUTCH TREAT MEMORY BOOK: Our Collective Best Through The Years. Privately Printed for the members of the D.T.C. and guests on the occasion of the Annual Dinner and Show / Plaza Hotel in New York City on March 26th 1954.

- Octavo, pictorial green boards with a cover illustration by Fred Cooper in original glassine. The binding is lightly rubbed & bumped. The glassine is darkened & chipped with several short tears. Unpaginated. Illustrated in black, white & red. Very good in a fair glassine wrapper. The Dutch Treat Club, founded in 1905, was an association of individuals active in literature, art, music and the theatre. Originally membership was limited to men and the club's yearbooks included "naughty" stories about women and cartoons and drawings of naked or partially nude females. A cartoon on page 8 of this issue showing two women reading the yearbook, bears the caption: "To Dumb Wives: Note: Beyond this page no perfect lady will go". After a controversial 1991 vote to admit women as members, the yearbook somewhat cleaned up its act. Among the writers and illustrators inclcuded in this issue are Don Marquis, Harrison Cady, Ring Lardner, Bradshaw Crandell, Dean Cornwell, Gelett Burgess, George M. Cohan, etc. etc.

- Octavo, red cloth (spine & extremities slightly faded) titled in gilt within black rectangles with decorations in gilt, in dw (darkend; lightly soiled & chipped). xvii & 333 pages (light spotting to fore-edge with tiny stains to front edges of several pages; stain to top edge). Good. First edition. A collection of work from the poet's first five books.
