Softcovers, original pictorial self-wraps. There are glue stains along the left edge from having been bound in with other period papers. 20 pages, numbered [89] through 108. Profusely illustrated, including several contributions by Thomas Nast. The cover illustration depicts General Sheridan with a document entitled "Trial by Military Commission" on a drum behind him. Another image depicts President Grant hanging up his message on Louisiana Affairs. A quite good copy.
