- Octavo, red cloth titled in gilt on the spines. The top edges are gilt. The spines are dampstained with the heads & tails chipped. The covers are bumped & rubbed with dampstaining to the inner edges & a few white stains, including a white mark to the Vol. 2 rear cover. xx & 429 pages; and xv & 418 pages. Volume 2 is illustrated with 2 folding plates & 3 textual illustrations. The inner edges of the endpapers are dampstained with slight rippling to the top edges of the prelims & rear blanks, else the contents are very good. Second edition.
