- Small quarto, 8 inches high by 6-7/8 inches wide. Original color pictorial wraps depicting a young Eskimo boy in front of 2 igloos, holding a white husky pup in his arm while a reddish-brown husky sleddog sits at his side. The covers are very lightly soiled. 12 pages, including the covers, laid loose as unbound signatures, with 7 black & white and 4 color illustrations, most of which depict the young Eskimo boy with his family and sleddogs. Very good. Nigalek once met white men who gave him gumdrops. He's thus very excited to join his mom & dad on a hunt for a polar bear, whose fur they will trade to the white men in the ice-bound ship.
