This pamphlet is the bulletin of the Adventurers' Club of New York. The April 1941 issue reports on the club's March meeting but is mainly concerned with a tribute to William Henry Jackson, a member of the club.

William Henry Jackson [1843-1942] was an American painter, Civil War veteran, geological survey photographer and an explorer famous for his images of the American West. In an article by Elmore Leffingwell, the Adventurer gives a somewhat jocular account of Jackson's career, accompanied by a cartoon, under the heading "Discovered America West of the Hudson River and Comes Home to Report!"
