The rear wrap is lightly rubbed. 48 pages, including black-and-white facsimiles of the letters, which are illustrated with drawings, & transcriptions of the text. Near fine.
Foreword by Philip Hofer, owner of the nine letters reproduced here, which were written to Potter's young friends Noel, Eric and Freda Moore. Price: 15.00 USD
Potter, Beatrix. THE TALE OF JEMIMA PUDDLE-DUCK. New York: Frederick Warne & Co., Ltd., (1910). - 12mo, gray paper covered boards titled in silvery white with a color illustration mounted on the front cover. The head and tail of the spine are chipped with some wear to the bottom of the front joint and to the corners. 85 pages, with color pictorial endpapers, a title page vignette and 27 charming full-page color plates by Beatrix Potter. The hinges are cracked and several signatures are pulled. Two plates are loose, though present, with some creases along the front edges. Fair.
