Mencken, Walter Winchell, Jack Dempsey, Deems Taylor, Charles Dana Gibson, Robinson Jeffers, A. A. Milne, Lewis Mumford and Hendrik Willem van Loon. Robert Frost contributes four lines about cooking potatoes in wood ashes.
