Printed for Members of The Limited Editions Club, 1968. SUPERBLY ILLUSTRATED WITH WOODCUT PRINTS BY ROBERT M. QUACKENBUSH - SIGNED BY THE ARTIST - Small quarto, 10-3/4 inches high by 8 inches wide. Handsomely bound in full black buckram, titled in gilt & white on the spine and in white whithin a tan sailcloth panel on the front cover. The book is housed in a green paper covered slipcase with a printed paper label on the spine. The edges of the slipcase are faded and the spine and label are rubbed & soiled. xvi & 357 pages plus the colophon, superbly illustrated with 38 black & white woodcuts, 12 full-page color woodcuts and 2 double-page color woodcuts by Robert M. Quackenbush. Near fine in a very good slipcase.
Limited edition of 1,500 numbered copies signed by the artist Robert Quackenbush on the colophon page.
