- Small oblong quarto. The sepia-toned photograph of the house, 4 inches high by 5-1/4 inches wide, is mounted on a sheet of cream stock 7-1/4 inches high by 10-5/8 inches wide. The edges of the mount are slightly darkened with 3 small, light stains to its lower edge & some tiny glue stains immediately above & to the right of the photograph. Very good. The photograph shows the house before the addition of a porch in the late 19th century. The handsome three-story brick house was built circa 1677-1678. It was once believed to be the oldest building in New England still retaining its original form. That assertion has since been disputed.
