In the Italian town of Bomarzo, the main atttraction is a garden, the Bosco dei Monstri or Park of Monsters, so called after the many larger-than-life sculptures, some sculpted in the bedrock, which inhabit the landscape. The garden was created by Pier Francesco Orsini, [known as Vicino Orsini;1528- 1588] in memory of his deceased wife. Dust jacket present.
