Catalog for a traveling exhibition which opened at the Museum of Modern Art on March 10, 1970. Hector Guimard [1867-1942] was the leading French architect-designer in the Art Nouveau style. Though best known for the subway entrances which he designed for the Paris Metro company in 1900 he also designed more than fifty buildings and hundreds of decorative objects.
