The book is housed in a cream, green & black cardboard slipcase titled in green & black on the spine & both panels. The dust jacket is very lightly rubbed & chipped with some light soiling to the jacket spine. The slipcase is lightly rubbed, soiled & chipped with its spine & extremities darkened. 250 pages. 186 illustrations, many in full color & many full-page, together with 121 black-and-white textual illustrations, depicting Samurai armor and swords. Near fine in a very good dust wrapper & slipcase. First edition. No. 21 in the 30 volume series on Japanese arts and culture, Genshoku nihon no bijutsu [Japanese Arts in Color]. With the exception of the list of plates, which includes English translations, the text is in Japanese. Dust jacket present. First Edition.
