A previous owner's bookplate is mounted on the front pastedown & there are a few stains to the pastedown & endpaper. The bottom corner of page 225 is mis-cut. Very good.

The spine is heavily chipped with a piece out from the head of the spine. xiv, [2], 361 & [31] pages. The contents include an "Errata" on the verso of title page, the "Index, to law of evidence" on pages [363-382] and an "Index, to bills of exchange" on pages [383-392]. There is some soiling to the title page & the pages are very slightly rippled, probably from humidity. Good.
