Illustrated in black & white with 9 plates with tissue guards, including a frontispiece, from portraits by Lely, Kneller & others. The spine is heavily chipped with a piece out from the head of the spine. xiv, [2], 361 & [31] pages. The contents include an "Errata" on the verso of title page, the "Index, to law of evidence" on pages [363-382] and an "Index, to bills of exchange" on pages [383-392]. The edges of the front cover are a bit faded & there is some dampstaining to its bottom corner. 54 pages. Illustrated in black & white with a portrait frontispiece with a tissue guard & with textual illustrations & diagrams. The book is cracked at the first text page. There is some soiling to the title page & the pages are very slightly rippled, probably from humidity. Good.
